Jonesing Labs
Over the past decade, employees at Jonesing Labs have all ‘cut their teeth’ at various commercial operations in the regulated cannabis industries (hemp and/or marijuana), logging over 35 years of combined experience producing bulk extracts, formulation intermediates and finished goods. Through these roles, we’ve seen the challenges of rapid industry growth, such as effectively funding and implementing R&D efforts in a production environment.
As an independent R&D lab with limited production capacity, we build value by licensing intellectual property from process improvements. In this way, we take pride in retaining a role in production efforts but otherwise retain a R&D focus.
With a team well-versed in production but an eye for process development, we decided to take on R&D outside of large production environments.
In this way, our goal is to develop robust processes for access to various minor, high-value components of hemp left behind after purification of CBD, or otherwise expressed by the plant in trace amounts too small for economical production using traditional botanical extraction techniques.
Through technology licensing agreements and industry partnerships, Jonesing Labs aims to advance the science and value of the hemp industry.
